PACE Providence is seeking a compassionate and reliable volunteer to provide in-person companionship to an older adult in the Seattle area. This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys conversation, sharing interests, and building a supportive friendship.

Volunteer Activities

• Engage in friendly conversation and social visits
• Discuss cooking, fermentation, and a variety of food and cultural topics
• Share ideas and opinions to help with light decluttering and organizing decisions
• Provide encouragement, patience, and social connection

Volunteer Qualities

• Friendly, patient, and a good listener
• Comfortable providing gentle reminders during conversations
• Enjoys building relationships with older adults
• Reliable and able to commit to regular visits

Location

• In-person visits in the Capitol Hill area of Seattle

Schedule

• Flexible scheduling coordinated with the care team and participant

Training & Support

• Orientation, training, and ongoing support are provided by Providence Volunteer Services.
