    About Tahoma Northwest:

    Tahoma Northwest is a nonprofit behavioral health agency providing peer support services to individuals and families throughout Washington State. Our goal is to connect people with compassionate, recovery-focused support that helps them navigate life's challenges and improve their well-being.

    We know our services change lives. What we need is help making sure more people know we exist.

    The Opportunity

    We are seeking a volunteer Marketing and Community Growth Professional to help us increase community awareness, strengthen referral relationships, and develop a sustainable strategy for growing our client base.

    The ideal volunteer will help us answer questions like:

    • How do we reach more people who could benefit from our services?
    • How do we build stronger referral partnerships?
    • What marketing efforts should we prioritize?
    • How can a small nonprofit compete for attention with limited resources?
    • How do we measure whether our outreach is working?

    This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced marketing professional, healthcare marketer, nonprofit consultant, communications specialist, business development professional, or retired executive who wants to make a meaningful impact in their community.

    What You'll Do

    • Assess our current marketing and outreach efforts
    • Develop a practical client growth and community awareness plan
    • Identify opportunities to increase referrals from healthcare providers, Managed Care Organizations, schools, community organizations, and other partners
    • Help improve our messaging and marketing materials
    • Recommend digital marketing, social media, website, and community engagement strategies
    • Assist in developing outreach campaigns and promotional content
    • Track and evaluate marketing effectiveness
    • Guide leadership on best practices for nonprofit and healthcare marketing

    Qualifications

    We're looking for someone with experience in one or more of the following areas:

    • Marketing strategy
    • Nonprofit marketing
    • Healthcare marketing
    • Community outreach
    • Public relations
    • Business development
    • Referral network development
    • Digital marketing
    • Communications
    • Brand development

    Experience working with nonprofits, behavioral health organizations, healthcare agencies, or community-based services is especially valuable.
