SPOTLIGHT VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIY

Blood Donor Ambassador: Engage donors by greeting, registering, answering questions, providing information, and supporting them by restocking the refreshment table.

• Blood Services
  • Blood Donor Ambassador (in-person): Engage donors by greeting, registering, answering questions, providing information, and supporting them by restocking the refreshment table.
  • Transportation Specialist (in-person): Be the critical link between blood donors and recipients by delivering blood, platelets, or other blood products to a hospital. (Wichita)
• Disaster Cycle Services
  • Shelter Worker (In-Person): Help manage shelters during disasters.
  • Shelter Resident Transition Caseworker (Virtual): Identify needs and create a plan to support disaster recovery.
  • Disaster Health Services (License Required): Provide assistance and healthcare to clients during a disaster.
  • Disaster Spiritual Care (License Required): Provide assistance and spiritual care to clients during a disaster.
  • Duty Officer (Virtual): Coordinate responses to local emergencies.
• Service to Armed Forces
  • Community Outreach Volunteer (In-Person): Engage, educate, and champion regional programs available to military and veteran communities and military partners.
  • International Services
  • Restoring Family Links Caseworker (Virtual): Supports reconnecting families separated by international conflict, disaster, or migration (bilingual preferred).
• Volunteer Services
  • Volunteer Screener (Virtual): Support the Team by matching volunteers' interests with the needs of the Red Cross.
  • Community Outreach Team (In-Person): Be the face of the Red Cross and represent during outreach events (i.e. student fairs, health fairs, etc.).
• Operations
  • Facilities Volunteer (In-Person): Support Operations with tasks such as breaking down boxes, lifting materials, checking for possible leaks, painting walls and additional office maintenance.
