Volunteer Opportunity

Mission Hospice – Idaho Falls is seeking caring, dependable volunteers to join our hospice team. Volunteers play a vital role by offering companionship, comfort, and support to patients and their loved ones during one of life’s most meaningful seasons.

No medical experience is required, just a heart to serve.

Volunteer Roles May Include:

• Patient Companionship: Sitting with patients, listening, reading aloud, or providing a calming presence.
• Family Support: Offering respite and encouragement to caregivers.
• Spiritual & Emotional Support: Being present, praying (if welcomed), or offering reflective listening.
• Administrative Support: Office help, phone calls, organizing materials.
• Bereavement Support: Assisting with memorial services or follow‑up care.

(Volunteer roles are matched based on interests, skills, and comfort level.)

Qualifications:

• Compassionate, reliable, and respectful
• Ability to honor confidentiality and patient dignity
• Comfortable working with individuals at end of life
• Willingness to complete background check, orientation, and volunteer training
