USAHello is looking for a volunteer with YouTube expertise to help strengthen our channel so more immigrants and families can find clear, trusted information when they need it most.
Many people are deeply concerned about what is happening to immigrant families right now. If you are looking for a meaningful way to help, this is a practical way to contribute your skills.
About USAHello
USAHello is a nonprofit that creates free, multilingual online information and learning for immigrants, refugees, and people building new lives in the U.S. We help people understand their options, find support, and make informed decisions to stay safe.
The volunteer role
Initial review and improvements (~6-10hrs total)
- Review channel for best practices
- Assess structure, playlists, branding, and user experience
- Review titles, descriptions, tags, thumbnails for SEO
- Recommend improvements for multilingual audiences
- Improve discoverability on YouTube and Google
- Set up or refine playlists
- Suggest improvements for captions and metadata
- Implement agreed updates
Light ongoing support (~1hr/week, optional):
- Review new videos
- Refine titles, descriptions, tags
- Suggest small improvements to reach and clarity
- Flag SEO opportunities
Our team will produce and post 1–2 videos per week:
- Video versions of our weekly newsletter with immigration updates
- Short alerts with timely information
Your role is to help optimize so content reaches more people. If you have additional interest, we can explore support with production or posting.
Skills needed
- Experience managing or optimizing a YouTube channel
- Familiarity with YouTube SEO
- Understanding of how videos appear in Google search
- Ability to make recommendations and implement changes
- Fluent in Spanish helpful but not required
