Alpert Jewish Family Service | Center for Belonging & Well Being
Share Your Knowledge, Inspire Confidence & Make a Difference!
Alpert Jewish Family Service is seeking a retired teacher, educator, technology professional, or computer enthusiast to share their knowledge with the individuals we serve at our Center for Belonging & Well Being.
Our participants are adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, each with unique personalities, interests, strengths, and abilities. While they may need support with certain aspects of daily living, they value independence, friendships, learning, and meaningful experiences.
Our Center has a computer lab, and we would love to find someone who can help participants explore technology, develop practical skills, and build confidence in a welcoming, supportive environment.
Volunteer Activities May Include:
- Basic computer, typing, and keyboard skills
- Microsoft Word and Excel
- Email, internet use, and online safety
- Digital communication and everyday technology
- Practical life and organizational skills
- Creative educational activities based on participants' interests
Schedule
Flexible – 1–2 Hours Every Other Week or Monthly
We hope to establish a consistent schedule that encourages learning, friendships, and meaningful connections.
Who We're Looking For

You don't need to be a professional teacher! Just bring your knowledge, creativity, and enthusiasm for helping others learn.

We would love to welcome you to our volunteer team!
