    Who You Are:

You’re most comfortable in jeans and a t-shirt, don’t mind getting a little dusty, value repurposing, and thrive in an energetic environment. You want to be part of a group of like-minded people who share similar values and seek an organization that welcomes everyone into the mission. You’re looking for an opportunity to be part of something larger and more impactful.

    Who We Are:

Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver (Habitat Metro Denver) is part of a global nonprofit housing organization that seeks to put God’s love into action by bringing people together to build homes, communities, and hope. We believe everyone deserves a safe, affordable place to live, and we work tirelessly to make that a reality for families in need.

Habitat’s ReStores support this mission by selling donated building materials, home furnishings, appliances, and more at a discount to generate funds for affordable housing programs.

    Overview:

The Aurora ReStore receives regular shipments of furniture from retailers such as Target. The Furniture Building Volunteer will assemble these items and prepare them for display on the sales floor, helping maximize sales and support Habitat’s mission.

    Major Responsibilities:

    • Become a Habitat for Humanity ambassador by embracing our Cultural Blueprint
    • Assemble furniture using written instructions
    • Prepare and price furniture for the sales floor

    Time Commitment:

    • Core volunteers commit to one four-hour shift (minimum) per week
    • Shifts are flexible during store hours: every day, 10 am–6 pm

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

    • Ability to pass a background check
    • Comfortable reading written instructions and working with basic tools
