Description
The World Championships Organizing Committee, Inc., a 501(c)(3) charity that promotes international sport by organizing tennis tournaments and events, is seeking is seeking a bookkeeping intern to support our team. Having attention to detail and organizational skills are a must.
Primary Duties:
·Handling accounts receivable and accounts payable functions;
·Assisting with credit card processes, including collecting receipts, creating Excel spreadsheet summarizing expenses by categories and events;
·Performing bank reconciliations; and
·Performing other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
·Understanding of bookkeeping practices and procedures;
·Organizational skills and attention to detail;
·Written and verbal communication skills;
·Problem-solving skills;
·Ability to follow verbal and written instructions;
·Proficient in Excel and Quickbooks (or similar accounting software).
Education and Experience:
The ideal candidate would be a recent graduate or a college or university student with a focus (major/minor) in accounting who has completed managerial and accounting coursework.
