Role Description:
RI is looking for a dynamic volunteer to create an engagement plan and subsequently facilitate regular social media interactions across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter (X) and LinkedIn. The Specialist will manage conversations and touchpoints that occur with our social media followers and donors across all channels, with the goal of facilitating growth, awareness, funds, and retention.
Responsibilities
- Like, comment, and/or respond to our followers across all social media platforms
- Like, comment, and/or respond to other posts from like-minded orgs on all social media platforms
- Choose other like-minded charities/NGO's, etc. to follow
- Encourage supporters/buyers to leave positive reviews
- Encourage our volunteers and donors to share our content
- Report issues to the communications director
- Send targeted private messages during fundraising campaigns and to thank donors
- Monitor monthly engagement rate and modify plan accordingly
- Be willing to attend virtual trainings to stay up to date with best practices
This role is expected to be generally accessible to the Director of Communications and responsive to emails.
Qualifications
- Knowledge and regular use of social network marketing (Facebook, Instagram Twitter, LinkedIn)
- Excellent written communication skills
- Detailed-oriented and organized
- Experience in developing communication strategies, including social media platforms
