    Business Development Specialist – Grants Research (Volunteer or Part‑Time)

    Position Title: Business Development Specialist (Grants Research)

    Organization: Paraklet Inc.

    Location: Remote Commitment: Volunteer or Part‑Time (Flexible hours)

    Role Summary

    The Business Development Specialist will strengthen Paraklet’s fundraising pipeline by researching donors, identifying opportunities, and supporting early‑stage proposal development. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys research, strategy, and building systems that help nonprofits grow.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Conduct donor and funding opportunity research (USAID, foundations, INGOs, corporate giving)
    • Build and maintain a grants pipeline and tracking system
    • Analyze donor priorities, eligibility criteria, and alignment with Paraklet’s programs
    • Prepare opportunity briefs and recommendations for the CEO
    • Support pre‑positioning efforts, including partner mapping and outreach
    • Assist with drafting sections of concept notes or proposals as needed
    • Maintain organized documentation and research files

    Qualifications

    • Strong research and analytical skills
    • Interest in international development, gender equity, youth empowerment, or food security
    • Ability to summarize complex information clearly
    • Experience with donor research tools is a plus (but not required)
    • Self‑motivated, reliable, and able to work independently
    • Open to students, entry‑level professionals, or experienced individuals seeking meaningful engagement
