    Description

    The Housing Stability Program (HSP) Volunteer will support the Housing Stability team in providing services to individuals and families experiencing housing instability. This position offers hands-on experience in case management, housing programs, and community resources. Volunteers will work closely with case managers and program staff while maintaining strict confidentiality of client information.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Assist with organizing, reviewing, and maintaining client files.
    • Support case managers with administrative and program-related tasks.
    • Help prepare client folders.
    • Assist with file audits to ensure completeness and compliance.
    • Assist with data entry and record management.
    • Research and update community resources for HSP programs.
    • Support special projects related to housing stability and homelessness services.
    • May assist with client interactions under staff supervision.
    • Maintain confidentiality of all client and program information.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Retired professional interested in giving back to the community; or
    • Student seeking volunteer, internship, practicum, case management, or community service hours.
    • Preference given to students pursuing Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Sociology, Public Health, or related fields.
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
    • Attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
    • Professional communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    Technical Skills

    • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams).
    • Ability to learn client database systems and electronic recordkeeping.
    • Basic internet research skills.
    • Data entry and document management experience preferred.
