    Description

    Gentiva Hospice is always looking for dedicated volunteers to provide companionship and emotional support to patients with life limiting conditions and their caregivers. Our patient reside in nursing homes and assisted living facilities in the Dyer County area. How you serve and how often is completely up to you! Here are a few examples of how our facility volunteers serve:

    • Engaging with our facility based hospice patients through any of the following:
      • Provide companionship and emotional support
      • Provide a listening ear
      • Encourage them to share life experiences
      • Play games (card, board games, etc.)
      • Watching TV with them
      • Read to them
      • Sing/play an instrument with them
