About Unity4Inclusion:
Unity4Inclusion is a 501(c)(3) non-profit based in Madras, Oregon, dedicated to fostering community inclusion and international outreach. Following our 2024 advocacy trip to Japan and our recent $5,000 Priority Grant from St. Charles Health System, we are seeking a dedicated professional to lead our fiscal management during this pivotal growth phase.
The Role:
We are looking for a Treasurer to serve as a founding leader focused on Financial Oversight. You will be responsible for building our financial infrastructure from the ground up and ensuring our resources are used effectively to serve the Central Oregon community and our global partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Implementation: Lead the setup and management of the organization’s QuickBooks system.
- Financial Oversight: Provide rigorous monitoring of the general ledger, bank reconciliations, and grant-specific fund tracking to ensure total fiscal health.
- Reporting: Present clear, monthly financial updates to the Board of Directors.
- Compliance: Ensure timely IRS (Form 990) and state filings to maintain our non-profit status.
Transparency & Commitment:
- Attendance & Presence: While financial tasks can be handled remotely, in-person attendance is required for board meetings and key organizational activities. However, we offer flexibility when Unity4Inclusion is actively hosting community events or specific activities where remote coordination is more practical.
- Full Disclosure: The candidate must provide the Board with full transparency regarding their time commitment, professional obligations, and any potential constraints. We value proactive communication.
- Engagement: A commitment of approximately 3–5 hours per month.
Qualifications:
- Technical Expertise: Proven proficiency in QuickBooks is essential.
- Strategic Mindset: Experience in bookkeeping or accounting with an eye for long-term financial planning.
- Integrity: A high standard of personal and professional accountability.
