    Hospice Office/Admin Support Volunteer

    Have you always wanted to give back? Are you detail-oriented?

    This is your opportunity to make a positive contribution to our patients and their families in your community. End-of-life care requires a unique and compassionate dedication that only comes from a truly inspired heart, mind, and soul. Our warm-hearted administrative team is seeking a volunteer to help prepare admission packets, file and organize documents, and help with mailings. Flexible scheduling and only a few hours per month. We work with your schedule!

    Just like our field volunteers, some admin volunteers also choose to visit patients to provide companionship, caregiver relief, and assist with household errands and tasks. We want to make your volunteer experience work for YOU! We can't wait to meet you and learn more about your interests and hopes for giving back.

    FHC serves the entire Coachella Valley, Hi-Desert, Beaumont, Banning, Cabazon, and Calimesa.

    We take our commitment to patient care seriously and adhere to all Medicare requirements. This is why we onboard and train ALL volunteers thoroughly, as if they were staff. Please review the following requirements and let us know if you have any questions.

    FHC Volunteer Requirements

    All volunteers, even office/administrative or non-patient-facing volunteers, must complete the full onboarding requirements. This includes:

    • background check and health screening
    • annual TB testing
    • approximately 12 hours of training (hybrid and virtual options available) and annual compliance paperwork
    • a commitment of at least 1 year volunteering
    • There is NO cost associated with volunteering; FHC covers all initial and annual costs to maintain compliance.
