Veteran Volunteers needed to help Honor Veterans on Hospice

Veteran Volunteers Needed! Pass out framed certificates to Veterans on hospice and help us thank them for their service to our great Nation. This position has a very small time commitment, but makes a HUGE impact.

Caris Healthcare is a Hospice agency serving the greater St. Louis area, including St. Charles and St. Peters. Whenever we have a Veteran on service, we do several things to support their journey:

• We learn about their military background and bear witness to their experiences
• We honor them with a framed certificate that recognizes their service in their particular branch of service and present them with an American Flag pin
• We connect them with any VA services they may eligible for
• We provide them with hospice care that meets any emotional or spiritual needs they may have related to their time in service

You can help us with this important mission by making the presentation of the framed certificate and pin. You would also have the opportunity to spend time sharing stories and providing companionship, if you so choose. The time commitment is minimal and you can plan your visits according to your own schedule.
