Volunteer Opportunity: Fathers Group Facilitator

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate volunteer to facilitate a Fathers Group at the Plymouth House of Corrections. This group provides an important space for incarcerated fathers to reflect, grow, and strengthen their roles as parents despite the challenges of incarceration.

Role Responsibilities:

• Lead and facilitate weekly group sessions for fathers
• Encourage open, respectful, and productive discussions
• Support participants in developing parenting skills and emotional awareness
• Help foster a positive and constructive group environment

Ideal Candidate:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in group facilitation, counseling, social work, or related fields (preferred but not required)
• Ability to maintain professionalism and boundaries in a correctional setting
• Compassionate, nonjudgmental, and reliable

Commitment:

• Consistent weekly availability (schedule to be determined)
• Willingness to complete any required orientation or clearance process
