Foster a Cat or Kittens!

Stray Cat Alliance is a nonprofit cat rescue in Los Angeles, CA. Our mission is to educate and empower communities to advocate for every cat’s right to be safe, healthy and valued.

Want to help cats from the comfort of your home?

Every cat you foster opens up room for us to save another at our lifesaving facility. We accept fosters for kittens, adult cats, cats with medical needs - all types of kitties!

Fosters help by opening their homes to provide a comfortable space for a cat to be themselves while they wait for their furever family. Providing cute pictures and/or videos to show them off makes all the difference in getting them adopted! Should any medical concerns arise, our medical team will address them at no cost to you. You will also have the support and guidance of a foster coordinator for other questions.

For kittens who need bottle-feeding and cats with medical needs, medications, basic supplies, and training are available. Learning how to provide care for these kitties is a great way to build your resume, or prepare for your own pets' needs as they age! We also have teen and adult cats who do not require special medication or care - just a safe place to hang out with a friend (you!) while they wait to be adopted!

You can also meet the cats in need of fostering at our open hours! Visit us at 3612 11th Avenue, Los Angeles, CA on Tuesdays from 5-7pm or Saturdays from 2-5pm to see who would be a good fit for your home! This is also the location of our clinic, who will handle any medical needs.
