Description
A hospice sitter, also known as a patient sitter or patient companion, provides care and companionship to patients who need supervision. They offer a compassionate alternative to other measures used to manage patients.
Hospice sitters provide comfort and companionship, which is especially important for patients who are lonely or anxious. They can also help with activities of daily living, sitting with patient while family run errands, light housekeeping, etc to help patients maintain their independence and dignity.
Hospice care focuses on the comfort, care, and quality of life of people with serious illnesses who are approaching the end of life.
