STEM Is Your Future is an educational nonprofit project fiscally sponsored by Group 36. Our mission is to help students build stronger academic skills, gain confidence, and participate in meaningful educational programs that can lead to prizes, scholarships, technology, and other educational opportunities.

Our current and planned programs include SAT math tutoring for students in free or reduced lunch programs, beginner Python programming camps, school-versus-school academic competitions, multi-subject student competitions, and one-on-one rated educational competitions.

    Volunteer responsibilities may include:

    • Contacting schools, homeschool groups, parent groups, community organizations, and educational programs
    • Explaining STEM Is Your Future programs in a professional and friendly way
    • Helping identify students, schools, or groups that may benefit from our programs
    • Helping find potential sponsors, donors, or community partners
    • Sharing information about tutoring, Python camps, and educational competitions
    • Helping us build relationships with educators, parents, and organizations
    • Providing feedback on outreach strategies and community needs

This is a good opportunity for people who care about education, STEM, youth development, college preparation, academic competitions, or helping students from underserved communities.

    Helpful qualifications include:

    • Strong communication skills
    • Interest in education, STEM, tutoring, nonprofits, or student competitions
    • Ability to contact people professionally by email, phone, social media, or online groups
    • Reliability and willingness to follow up
    • Comfort explaining programs clearly
    • Experience in teaching, tutoring, school outreach, sales, marketing, community organizing, nonprofit work, or education is helpful but not required

College students, retired educators, current educators, tutors, parents, nonprofit volunteers, and professionals who want to support educational opportunity are welcome to apply.

This is a flexible remote volunteer opportunity. Training and sample outreach messages can be provided. Volunteers may start with a small number of contacts per week and increase involvement over time.
