    Description

    Basic volunteer qualifications involved with this assignment:

    1. Welcome patrons, assist with book donations and selections, and share Project: LEARN's mission with visitors as they enter the BookShelf.
    2. Operate the cash register and accurately process cash and card transactions. Shelve, organize, and alphabetize books. Receive and sort book donations. Open and/or close the bookstore during scheduled shifts. Ensure books are properly priced and labeled. Remove stickers and clean donated books as needed. Maintain a clean, welcoming, and organized bookstore and checkout area.
    3. Provide one photo per-shift to Bookstore Manager.
    4. A passion for literacy, books, and lifelong learning. Friendly, welcoming customer service skills. Comfortable operating a cash register and handling basic math. Reliable and dependable. Enjoys interacting with a variety of book patrons. Able to read, alphabetize, and organize books accurately.
