Description: Glow Fest is CITCA’s annual community fundraising festival held every September during National Suicide Prevention Month. It’s a vibrant, healing space where light, hope, and inspirational expression come together to break the silence around mental health. As a Committee Lead Volunteer, you’ll help shape this powerful experience from the inside out.

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead planning and coordination for a specific event zone (e.g., Silent Disco, Vendor Village, Wellness Stations, Glow Parade)
    • Reach out to artists, vendors, wellness partners, and mental health organizations
    • Support donor and funder engagement through storytelling and outreach
    • Guide volunteer onboarding and appreciation efforts
    • Collaborate on signage, directional cues, and participant flow
    • Help create a welcoming, emotionally resonant environment for attendees

    Qualifications:

    • Strong communication and organizational skills
    • Experience with outreach, event planning, or community engagement (formal or informal)
    • Ability to lead with empathy, clarity, and flexibility
    • Comfortable using digital tools (Google Forms, Canva, QR code generators, email, Slack)
    • Passion for mental health advocacy, creative expression, and inclusive programming

Time Commitment: 5-10 hours a wk.

Location: Remote with in-person participation (Baltimore-based)

Glow Fest is more than a fundraiser—it’s a space for healing, connection, and action. Every light tells a story, and together, we shine brighter.
