This is a volunteer opportunity, not a paid position.

Habitat for Humanity (HFH) is seeking volunteers for their home construction team. There are many ways to be involved with their construction team from painting and gardening to measuring and cutting materials to installing the supports, drywall, ceiling, flooring, etc. Whatever your talents are, HFH invites you to help bring someone that much closer to being in a stable and accessible home. Scheduling will be determined by job but hours needed are typically between 8:30am to 12:30pm on Thursdays and Saturdays.

Closed-toe shoes are REQUIRED and a non-slip sole is strongly recommended. Any personal protective equipment, uniform, or nametag provided by HFH is also required. Due to the risk of being caught, loose jewelry and clothing is not allowed. Clothing does NOT have to be form-fitting but should not hang when bending to lift items. HFH is not responsible for attire that is damaged or soiled during volunteering.

For regular service, the background screening and sex offender screening are free of cost. For court-ordered service, due to additional screening requirements and verification processes, there is a $20 non-refundable fee.

Dundee Restore Clerk

Habitat for Humanity (HFH) of East Polk is looking for volunteers to help around their Dundee Restore location. Habitat for Humanity is a global nonprofit housing organization working with local communities to help build a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Duties will include light cleaning, organizing, and sorting of donations and Restore sales area. When customers are present, volunteers will offer a friendly face and welcoming greeting. Volunteers may answer questions, show customers where items are, and assist with sales transactions. The ideal candidate for this opportunity is a team player and has excellent communication skills. HFH is looking for shifts Tuesday through Saturday 10am to 4:30pm.
