    Description

The Arthritis Foundation’s Raleigh Jingle Bell Run is taking place on Saturday, December 5th, 2026 at Fenton in Cary, NC and is a festive 5K where participants dress in holiday gear and raise funds to support people living with arthritis. We’re looking for a Volunteer Chair to help ensure a strong and well-supported volunteer presence by recruiting and organizing day-of volunteers to support the success of the Raleigh Jingle Bell Run.

The Volunteer Chair plays a key role in creating a positive and organized event experience by recruiting and coordinating volunteers. This role helps ensure that the event is well-staffed and that volunteers feel welcomed, informed, and prepared to support the mission of the Arthritis Foundation to improve the lives of those living with arthritis.

    What You’ll Do:

    • Commit to leading volunteer recruitment to support the Jingle Bell Run on Saturday, December 5th, 2026
    • Recruit volunteers through personal and professional networks, community groups, schools, civic organizations, and online platforms
    • Build and lead a small volunteer committee to assist with outreach and coordination.
    • Work with your Staff Partner to determine volunteer needs and roles for the event.
    • Help ensure all volunteer roles are filled prior to event day.
    • Communicate with volunteers leading up to the event to share key details and expectations.
    • Help welcome, check in, and direct volunteers on event day to ensure everyone understands their role and feels supported.

    Who Can Volunteer:

This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys volunteer coordination, community engagement, and bringing people together.

    What You’ll Get:

    • Volunteer service hours
    • Help promote the event and build excitement across the community
    • Opportunities to expand your professional and community network
    • The chance to make a meaningful impact for the arthritis community in the Triangle
    • Identify future Volunteer Chair leaders
