Description
Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Description: Empower adult learners through IT workshops that build practical digital skills for life, work, and small business success. Volunteers lead sessions in person or remotely.
Workshop Topics:
- General Digital Literacy: e.g., mobile parking, paying tickets, using online portals
- Professional Digital Development: e.g., email etiquette, workplace tech skills, online professionalism
- Digital Entrepreneurship & Marketing: e.g., social media promotion, basic digital marketing, building an online presence
- Responsibilities: Plan and lead 30–60 min workshops, adapt content for participants, and coordinate with B1C staff.
- Skills: Spanish fluency, comfort with technology, strong communication, patience, and flexibility.
- Schedule: 3+ month commitment, ~1 hour/week, flexible (in person or remote).
- Training: Workforce Development staff.
- Resources: Curriculum guidance, workshop support, and B1C tech tools.
- Location: Onsite at 417 Shippan Ave or remote (Zoom/Google Meet).
