    Description

Computer Systems Admin for Mac-Based Nonprofit

[This is an unpaid, volunteer position.]

At our nonprofit, we use Macintosh computers exclusively, and we rely on them heavily. Our Executive Director has put hundreds of hours into establishing the current systems, and he would love some help maintaining and upgrading them.

We serve our web site here, and have a total of 4 Macs connected directly to our LAN (not including other laptops connected wirelessly). We would love to have someone who could upgrade our older Macs to newer versions of the operating system, help us buy inexpensive newer computers so we can reduce the power consumption of our older computers without losing the functionality already programmed into our older systems, etc.

We use the remarkable Panorama database manager extensively in a great number of tasks across all parts of our operation. It would be great to have someone who either knows Panorama programming or who would enjoy learning it. I can vouch, it is an extraordinary system.

You can largely decide on when you'd like to schedule your volunteer hours. We would just need to make sure you have access to a computer and, at first, make sure the Executive Director is around to show you the ropes.
