    Description

    Sanctuary Development & Donor Steward

After decades of building, leading, advising, and stewarding relationships…perhaps you’re ready to invest your skills somewhere deeply meaningful.

Robin’s Nest Rescue, a 5-acre nonprofit sanctuary in Ramona, California, is seeking a seasoned professional to support the Founder and President in development strategy and donor stewardship.

This role is ideal for a retired or semi-retired executive — particularly someone with experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, advancement, or relationship management — who still wants to contribute at a high level without the demands of a full-time role.

    What This Role Offers

    • Meaningful impact without full-time pressure
    • Strategic involvement in donor stewardship and growth
    • Direct partnership with a mission-driven founder
    • Flexible 5–10 hours per week (fluctuating with campaigns)
    • Remote structure with brief daily touchpoints

    What This Role Requires

    • Professional polish and discretion
    • Strong writing and relationship instincts
    • Experience managing high-level donor communications
    • Organized systems thinking
    • Comfort helping create structure in a growing organization

This position involves some administrative work, but it is far more than clerical support — it is mission-critical stewardship.

    You will help:

    • Strengthen donor relationships
    • Bring excellence and structure to development systems
    • Ensure stewardship reflects the heart of the mission
    • Support grant and funding growth initiatives

As Robin’s Nest continues to grow, this volunteer role has the potential to evolve into a paid position, dependent on grant funding and organizational expansion.

If you are in a season of giving back — and believe that leadership includes lifting others — this may be your next meaningful chapter.
