    Volunteer Opportunity, HR Committee Chair

    Empower change by utilizing your leadership and organizational skills to ensure that fewer youths have to face challenges like skipped meals, gun violence, and poverty. At Season to Soar, we are committed to equipping underserved youth with the support they need to overcome these circumstances.

    As an unpaid, volunteer HR Committee Chair at Season to Soar, you will play a vital leadership role within the organization. The Chair position serves as both a project manager and a communication hub for the Human Resources Committee, facilitating effective collaboration and ensuring the successful implementation of Season to Soar's initiatives. This position offers you an opportunity to cultivate your professional development while giving back in a meaningful way.

    Responsibilities:

    • Delegate projects and tasks among committee members.
    • Manage the committee's project management tool, Asana, ensuring all projects and tasks are consistently represented with updated owners and due dates.
    • Oversee a wide variety of general projects and tasks related to human resources.
    • Manage the recruitment, onboarding, and management of internal stakeholders like volunteers, youth program facilitators, board, and committee members.
    • Oversee the development and management of policies and procedures to enhance organizational operations.
    • Communicate committee developments, updates, and outcomes to the Full Board and Leadership.
    • Ensure that the committee email account is managed effectively.
    • Schedule and preside over committee meetings, including creating meeting invites, agendas, managing meeting minutes, and recaps.
    • Conduct monthly 1:1 meetings with committee members.

    Time Commitment:

    Estimated commitment of 2 hours per week executing projects in addition to a 30 minute weekly committee meeting. This position has a term length of 1 year.

    Qualifications:

    • Passion for Season to Soar's mission and commitment to making a difference in underserved communities.
    • Strong organizational and project management skills, with an ability to balance multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey information clearly and facilitate productive discussions.
    • Leadership experience, including the ability to motivate and guide a team of volunteers.
    • Experience working in Human Resources, People Operations, or Recruiting preferred.
