    Description

    Photographer and/or Videographer

    Time Commitment:

    • Every second Sunday of the month (up to 4 hours per event)
    • One fundraising event in May (up to 5 hours)
    • Flexible participation: volunteers may commit to all events or select specific dates

    Plate & Pathways is a community-based nonprofit dedicated to addressing food insecurity and strengthening community connections through meals, education, and outreach events. Our work centers dignity, access, and care.

    Volunteer Role Overview

    We are seeking a volunteer photographer and/or videographer to help capture the impact of our monthly community events and an upcoming spring fundraiser. Visual storytelling plays a critical role in sharing our mission, engaging supporters, and expanding our reach.

    Responsibilities

    • Capture high-quality photos and/or video during community events
    • Document interactions, food service, volunteers, and community engagement (with sensitivity and consent)
    • Provide edited or lightly edited photos and/or video clips for marketing, social media, and fundraising use
    • Coordinate with Plate & Pathways staff regarding shot lists and event goals

    Ideal Skills and Qualifications

    • Experience with photography and/or videography (professional, advanced hobbyist, students and self-taught creatives welcome)
    • Own camera and basic editing capabilities preferred but not required
    • Ability to work respectfully in a community-focused, service-oriented environment
    • Comfortable working indoors and outdoors
    • Passion for community impact and storytelling
