    Description

    Nonprofit Board of Directors (volunteer)

The Lionsgate Foundation is looking for volunteer Board Members to drive our impact and share our story!

Without volunteers and board members, we would not be able to move initiatives forward to support the work of Lionsgate Academy and the broader Twin Cities neurodiverse community.

Time Commitment: Board Members serve for a 3-year term and are expected to dedicate approximately 3+ hours per month. (Note: this is a volunteer, unpaid role)

This includes attendance at monthly board meetings (virtually, 2nd Wednesday of the month, 6:30-7:30 PM), keeping up with email communication, and personal ownership of key tasks or initiatives that help move the organization forward.

Qualities We’re Looking For: We seek individuals who are passionate about our mission, bring diverse skills and perspectives, and are willing to collaborate to help the Foundation evolve.

    Types of Experiences Gained:

    • Support the evolution of an organizational structure to ensure longevity.
    • Help shape strategic priorities and long-term goals.
    • Grow fundraising initiatives and identify new resources to sustain our programs.
    • Streamline purchasing workflows and processes.
    • Develop communications and social media strategies.
    • Enhance the governance and financial oversight of a growing nonprofit.
    • Build skills to advocate for the Foundation in your networks and the community.
    • Feel really good about helping the Neurodiverse community (ie. Autism, ADHD, Dysgraphia, Dyscalculia, Sensory Sensitivities, etc) get the tools and resources they need to be included and thrive!

    ____________________________________________________

The Lionsgate Foundation champions neurodiversity, including autism and other learning differences, by expanding opportunities and increasing connection for students and their families, special educators, and the broader community.

We directly support Lionsgate Academy schools and other Minnesota-based organizations serving the neurodiverse community. We help fund innovative academic programs, extra-curricular activities, sensory-safe environments, life-changing equipment and initiatives that honor each learner’s unique processing style while enhancing their overall wellbeing.
