Description
FamilySearch Center staff provide one-on-one help to visitors, assisting them in discovering their family history. They guide patrons in creating FamilySearch accounts, navigating the website, utilizing center resources, and accessing premium genealogy websites. They seek to facilitate meaningful family discovery experiences for patrons.
Staff do not need to be experts in family history research. They should be:
- Able to communicate well with others.
- Comfortable using computers, printers, scanners, and phone apps.
- Reasonably familiar with FamilySearch.org and its mobile apps.
- Friendly, patient, and respectful at all times toward patrons and other staff.
If you have a heart for helping others find their ancestors and family stories but aren't sure you're experienced enough, we are happy to provide training.
