Free Clinic needs Nurses who specialize or have experience with senior foot care. 

Position Overview

Nurses provide nursing services to patients during clinic hours and as available assist with special events like health fairs screening in the community. RN’s, LPN’s, MA’s, CNA’s are needed. All nurses must be licensed. We can provide malpractice insurance through the VRP program.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Supports the mission of CarePoint Clinic
• Is able to work at least one shift per month
• Arrives 10 - 15 minutes prior to their shift to be ready for the first appointment time of the shift
• Records patient information in the EMR system (currently Patient Fusion)
• Assessing a patient condition to help prepare for the provider
• Complete various skills asked by a provider appropriate to the patient (may include but not be limited to):
  1. Urinalysis
  2. EKG
  3. HbA1c
  4. Capillary blood sugar with glucometer
  5. Urine pregnancy test
  6. Rapid Strep test
• Clean and/or disinfect the exam room after each patient visit
• Teach patients the skills, lifestyle changes, and how to use instruments and information given to manage acute or chronic illnesses

Current need is for Wednesday and Thursday Clinic both 1st shift (9:30 am - 1:00) and 2nd shift (12:45 - 4:15 pm)
