    Description

Preschool Helper/Assistant for one-on-one in-program support for a child with autism

Come help a preschool boy with autism succeed in our preschool program so he and his single mom can benefit from coming. Volunteer is needed on Monday nights (or most Monday nights) from 6:00pm-7:30pm in Byron Center at our Hope Unexpected location. Knowledge of strategies to help children with autism extremely helpful. Volunteer needs to be patient, kind, background-checked, and attend our volunteer orientation. Consistency in volunteering is important. Additional resources and guidance are also provided. This would be ideal for students seeking special education degrees, ABA therapists, parents who have walked this road themselves, and more.
