Commitment Details:
1-2 hours per week for facility visits, we ask that volunteers be able to commit to a minimum of one year with the program to foster strong, meaningful relationships with facility residents, staff, and families.

We ask that volunteers have reliable transportation to travel to and from facilities for visits. Although based in Lynn, we are looking for volunteers who would be able to travel to facilities in the Cambridge and Somerville areas.
Description
Would you like to make a difference in the lives of those living in local nursing and rest homes? The Ombudsman Program may be right for you! As a state trained volunteer, you will visit your assigned facility on a weekly basis to meet with residents and provide them information on their rights. As their advocate, you will work with them in resolving any concerns they may have regarding their life in the facility. All training and state certifitcations provided by our highly skilled staff.
