Operation Save a Home

Haven Manor Inc. bridges the gap to safe, stable homes; bringing together the skilled handypersons with a heart to help and the recipient that needs the help who otherwise could not afford their services, so they do not become homeless. The people we are wanting to help are people on low fixed or no incomes, that need repairs made to their homes such as ramps, grab bars, widening doorways, hoarding, general disrepair, etc... The service area is 5 miles around the Acworth GA Walmart, but the handypersons can come from outside the area. As the handyperson, you will be providing your skill, labor, and materials totally FREE to the recipient, and of no charge to Haven Manor Inc. nor Linda Hawkins (Founder).

Some of the benefits to you as the handyperson ex: the satisfaction of helping a person that needs the help, but couldn't afford to hire you; you get to place your signage outside of the building you are working on (advertising), and Haven Manor Inc. will provide you with a signed donation slip with letterhead for you to fill in the amount you would normally charge; this may reduce your taxes, but check with your CPA for your specific situation.

The opportunities that are needed right now are to the home office of Haven Manor Inc. in Acworth GA; the areas of expertise needed are a plumber, exterior basement water proofer, HVAC, gutter cleaner, and tree cutter.
