    Description

    Washington, D.C. Congenital Heart Walk

The Children's Heart Foundation is holding our family-friendly annual Washington, D.C. Congenital Heart Walk at Martin Luther King Jr. Recreational Park in Silver Spring on Saturday, October 24th. This event brings together the community to raise awareness and support of those affected by congenital heart defects. Our Foundation funds research to advance the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of congenital heart defects which is incredibly important as heart defects are the number 1 birth defect in the US, impacting 1 in 110 babies or 40,000 babies per year.

We're looking for volunteers to help the morning of the walk! Opportunities include event setup, event breakdown, help at our activities and refreshment tents, tshirt distribution/registration, and more. Please consider joining us for what will be a memorable event for an important cause!
