Norfolk County RSVP Free Rides for Veterans
Make a HUGE difference by driving local Veterans to and from medical appointments using your own vehicle. Mileage reimbursement (@$.40/mile) and supplemental liability insurance provided by RSVP. Flexible scheduling. Drivers self-select rides based on where, when and how often they want to drive veterans to their appointments. Minimum of two rides per month.
Help veterans that don't own a car, are no longer able to drive and/or cannot afford the cost of a taxi or Uber get to their medical appointments. Trips may be local or to a VA Hospital including Jamaica Plain, West Roxbury, or Brockton.
For everybody's safety during the current pandemic, all drivers and riders must wear masks, use hand sanitizer before entering the vehicle and follow other common-sense safety precautions.
Requires MA driver’s license, reliable car and background check.
Norfolk County RSVP is a community service program for volunteers who are 55 and over. We work with over fifty municipal, non-profit and healthcare organizations to recruit and match volunteers with programs that meet community needs.
