Volunteer Memory Bear Makers Needed Throughout Northern Utah

Do you have sewing skills and a heart for helping others?

We are looking for talented volunteer sewers to create Memory Bears for families who have lost a loved one receiving hospice care.

A Memory Bear is lovingly handcrafted from a patient's clothing, transforming cherished garments into a keepsake that families can hold close for years to come. These special bears often become treasured reminders of a loved one's life, personality, and memory.

    πŸ’™ Sew From Home

    πŸ’™ Flexible Volunteer Opportunity

πŸ’™ Meaningful Way to Support Grieving Families

πŸ’™ Use Your Talents to Create Something Truly Special

    How It Works:

🧸 Our hospice team gathers the clothing items provided by the family.

🧡 The clothing is given to a volunteer Memory Bear Maker.

πŸ’™ The volunteer carefully transforms the garments into a treasured keepsake bear.

🎁 The finished Memory Bear is returned to the family as a lasting reminder of their loved one.

We are seeking volunteers who have:

    βœ” Sewing experience

βœ” Access to their own sewing machine and tools

    βœ” Attention to detail

βœ” Compassion and respect for the sentimental nature of this work

Every stitch tells a story. Every bear preserves a memory.

If you would like to use your sewing talents to provide comfort and healing to grieving families throughout Northern Utah, we'd love to hear from you.
