    Description

About APYCF: APYCF (Asia-Pacific Youth Culture Foundation) is a nonprofit dedicated to youth cultural and educational exchange across the Asia-Pacific. We deliver education support, community meals, stray-animal rescue, and emergency relief through local partners in Mainland China, South Korea, and Singapore. Our small, lean team works without field offices, entirely through local partners; since January 2025 our programs have reached 380 children and youth and rescued/re-homed 214 stray animals. Work Arrangement: Fully Remote. Rolling applications, minimum 2 months, minimum 20 hrs/week (to meet OPT/CPT hour requirements), unpaid internship. Responsibilities: Translate program materials, website content, and partnership documents between Chinese, English, and Korean. Help translate funding applications, donor updates, and external communications with appropriate tone. Build and maintain a Chinese-English-Korean glossary to standardize names and program terms. Proofread and polish translations from colleagues, flagging and fixing inaccuracies. Help with written translation for online meetings and post-meeting notes when needed. Requirements: Current student or recent graduate; Translation, English, Korean or related majors preferred. Solid Chinese-English translation skills; Korean sufficient for routine materials (or strong ZH-EN with Korean as a plus). Familiar with common CAT tools or office software; able to manage translation versions properly. Careful and rigorous with a good ear for language; delivers quality work on deadline. Preferred: Language certificates such as CATTI or TOPIK. Translation experience in NGO, education, or cultural sectors. Work Authorization Support: International students are welcome. APYCF provides employer documentation to support CPT and OPT (including unpaid OPT); STEM OPT extension support may be available for eligible roles and candidates on a case-by-case basis. How to Apply: Please send your English resume to careers@apycfoundation.org with the position title in the subject line.
