    Description

In our Urgent Care clinics, patients are often experiencing higher amounts of stress and discomfort. We are seeking volunteers who can create welcoming, compassionate, supportive environments for individuals seeking urgent care. We are specifically seeking daytime volunteers to assist patients and they arrive and navigate the facility. Current shifts are between 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday with weekend opportunities available.

This is a non-clinical volunteer role, focusing on the social side of healthcare and how your kind, helpful presence provides a meaningful impact on care experience. Common tasks include offering comfort items, lending a listening ear, assisting with wheelchair escorts, answering common questions, or communicating needs to our clinical teams.

Volunteers must be able to volunteer at least one 4 hour shift a week for 6 months.

If you are seeking experience, want to give back to your community, use your skills, or join a highly social environment, we want to hear from you!

No experience necessary, ages 16 and up. Must be able to commit to 1 shift a week (3-4 hours) for 6 months.

If interested apply online HERE or reach out to kpnwclinicvol@kp.org with any questions.
