    Description

    Position Overview

    The Newsletter and Digital Marketing Coordinator (Volunteer) plays a key role in supporting FYF’s organizational outreach and engagement efforts. This volunteer will take the lead in coordinating the monthly digital newsletter communications and digital marketing campaigns across a various digital channel, ensuring our stories reach the right audiences at the right time and increasing fundraising opportunities across new markets.

    The ideal candidate combines creativity with technical know-how and a strategic mindset. They will collaborate closely with our communications and marketing team to plan and execute digital marketing campaigns, optimize audience engagement through the monthly newsletter to strengthen FYF’s digital presence.

    Responsibilities

    1. Newsletter Coordination
    • Set up, format, and schedule newsletters using the MailerLite platform.
    • Maintain and update mailing lists, ensuring audience segmentation and accuracy.
    • Collaborate with staff to gather content, images, and stories for each issue.
    • Monitor open rates, click rates, and other performance metrics to recommend improvements.
    1. Digital Marketing Campaigns
    • Coordinate the design, setup, and delivery of digital marketing campaigns across MailerLite and other platforms (e.g., social media, website, or Google Ads if applicable).
    • Collaborate with the communications and marketing team to develop and implement campaign strategies that promote key programs, partnerships, and fundraising initiatives.
    • Maintain a digital campaign calendar to track campaign timelines and deliverables.
    1. Peer-to-Peer Fundraising Support
    • Develop Peer-to-Peer Fundraising Toolkit: Create user-friendly materials (templates, graphics, and guides) to help supporters launch and promote their own fundraising efforts in alignment with the organization’s branding and messaging.
    • Coordinate Campaigns: Support and track peer-to-peer fundraising campaigns, providing participants with resources, communication materials, and ongoing encouragement to maximize engagement and results.
    • Collaborate and Promote: Work with the communications and marketing team to integrate peer-to-peer fundraising stories and successes into newsletters, social media, and digital campaigns.
    • Maintain and Evaluate: Update toolkit materials and campaign content as needed and provide periodic summaries of campaign performance and supporter engagement.
    1. Additional Duties
    • Assist in A/B testing subject lines and content to enhance campaign performance.
    • Support the development of audience personas and digital engagement goals.
    • Contribute to creative brainstorming sessions for storytelling, outreach, and community engagement.

    Deliverables

    • A consistent and on-time newsletter schedule with measurable engagement growth.
    • Development and maintenance of tracker of digital marketing and peer-to-peer campaigns.
    • Brief monthly reports summarizing campaign metrics, insights, and recommendations.
    • Active participation in monthly Communications & Marketing Team Meetings, including up to 1 inperson meeting per quarter.

    Reporting

    The Newsletter & Digital Fundraising Coordinator works closely with the Comms and Marketing team and reports to the Chief Operating Officer.
