Be a Friendly Visitor or Caller Volunteer to a Senior

Meals on Wheels Orange County is looking for compassionate volunteers to join our Friendly Visitor & Caller Program. Whether you visit a homebound senior in person or connect with them by phone, your role is simple: offer conversation, friendship, and a listening ear. Just one hour a week, but to a senior who may otherwise go days without meaningful human connection, it means absolutely everything.

We currently serve over 900 homebound seniors across Orange County, delivering meals and vital services that help them maintain their independence. Our mission is to nourish not just their bodies, but their wellness, purpose, and dignity. The Friendly Visitor Program is at the heart of that mission; bringing human warmth to the meals we deliver.
