    Description

Do you want to use your language skills to make a real difference in your community? Does helping non-native English speakers access life-changing resources sound exciting? Then this is the opportunity for you!

Join a community of over 350 caring volunteers providing free tax preparation services to low-income families and helping overcome barriers to accessing tax credits by volunteering as an interpreter!

Many of the families we help are native Spanish speakers, and we are building a team of interpreters to help bridge the gap between English-speaking tax preparers and Spanish-speaking clients.

Not a tax expert? No problem! This is an interpreter role that doesn’t involve preparing taxes, and we’ll provide all the training you need.

To be a great volunteer, you just need to be:

    • Compassionate and friendly
    • Comfortable working with a diverse group of clients
    • Willing to ask questions
    • Willing to learn new skills
    • Willing to adhere to high ethical standards
