Social Impact Content Writer & Social Media Volunteer

Use your writing to help people feel less alone and inspire others to make a difference for a 501(c)(3) nonprofit featured on international newspapers, including CNN, BBC, FOX News, and CBS News.

We are looking for a creative Social Impact Content Writer & Social Media Volunteer to help grow awareness, engagement, and participation in our mission.

What You’ll Do

Create original, thoughtful, and engaging social media content about loneliness, social isolation, kindness, belonging, volunteering, and human connection.

Brighten A Day Foundation will provide photographs, graphics, and other visual materials from our work—such as cards, care packages, volunteers, and community projects. You will create the story and message behind the visual, rather than simply describing what is pictured.

Your content may include:

• Thought-provoking posts about loneliness and social isolation
• Stories about why a handwritten letter or small act of kindness can matter
• Content encouraging people to reach out to someone who may feel alone
• Educational and awareness content about human connection
• Volunteer-focused content that inspires people to get involved
• Questions, prompts, and relatable posts designed to spark comments and conversations
• Calls to action that turn awareness into participation

Build Real-World Digital Skills

Who We’re Looking For

Previous professional experience is not required. We are looking for someone who is creative, thoughtful, dependable, and genuinely interested in using communication to create positive social impact.
