    Description

Nursing Home Ombudsman Needed: Fox Valley Area, Multiple Locations

This volunteer opportunity is for individuals age 55 and over.

RSVP (Retired and Senior Volunteer Program) of Kendall County is looking for volunteers interesting in being trained to be a nursing home Ombudsman for Senior Services Associates. An Ombudsman is a citizen representative who hears concerns from residents and is trained on how to escalate the concerns to an Ombudsman Supervisor. Once you are trained, you will set your own schedule. Depending on the nursing home location you are assigned, and number of complaints received by that particular nursing home you may visit the nursing home once a month or once a quarter.

Free training is required. Assignments are at nursing homes throughout the Fox Valley Area.

If you are interested in this volunteer opportunity in Southern Kane County, contact Tina Dolan at 630-897-4035.
