    Description

    Receptionist @ East Palo Alto Nonprofit (in-person)

    The Hope Horizon East Palo Alto staff is seeking an experienced individual to work on-site at the front desk to support the function of our organization. The Receptionist, a key member of the Hope Horizon Operations Team, is responsible for general communication with visitors, volunteers, and parents. They will work within Hope Horizon’s guidelines and protocols to maintain ongoing lobby and facility safety. The Receptionist will also manage the copy room, handle administrative duties, and support the organization's day-to-day operations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Front desk duties, including, but not limited to, general building/visitor security, answering the main phone line, general email, and greeting visitors and volunteers
    • Basic clerical duties include, but are not limited to, lobby area upkeep, community board updates, mail processing, staff contact roster, organizational wish list, and photo archive
    • Help maintain the online program database for student enrollment (Breeze platform)
    • Assist with any ad-hoc projects that may arise
    • Gain a basic understanding of program details, execution, and delivery
    • Collect program fees in collaboration with program staff and the Director of Operations.
    • Support program staff
    • Collaborate with program managers to address student and family needs during program hours
    • Communicate effectively in a supportive manner with students’ parents and guardians
    • Follow and maintain all Hope Horizon policies and procedures as they pertain to student safety and industry standards
    • Provide comfort, care, and basic first aid to students as needed
