    Friday, June 12 from 3–8 PM. Arrive at 2 PM for setup and stay until 8:30 PM for breakdown. Total commitment is about 6–6.5 hours. DJ must provide equipment and remain for the full event. Parking available; light refreshments may be provided.

    Description

    We are seeking a passionate and community-minded volunteer DJ to support our Juneteenth PTSA fundraising celebration. This event brings together families, students, and community members for an afternoon of culture, connection, and celebration of freedom and history.

    The DJ will play an essential role in setting the tone—creating an engaging, family-friendly atmosphere through music that reflects the spirit of Juneteenth and keeps the energy positive and uplifting throughout the event.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide music and sound for the duration of the event (3–8 PM)
    • Curate a family-friendly playlist that celebrates culture, community, and joy
    • Make light announcements as needed (optional)
    • Bring necessary DJ equipment (sound system, mixer, etc.)

    Ideal Volunteer:

    • Has experience DJing events, especially family or community gatherings
    • Enjoys working with diverse audiences, including children and families
    • Is reliable, professional, and enthusiastic
    • Appreciates the cultural significance of Juneteenth
