    Description

    Art Volunteer at Homeless Shelter

Use your creativity to support and inspire homeless adults and children!

Building Opportunities for Self-Sufficiency (BOSS) is an Alameda County-based nonprofit that fights to end mass homelessness, mass incarceration, and community violence. Our programs serve over 6,000 people a year, and include shelter and housing, education and employment, violence intervention/ prevention, health/mental health services, trauma recovery support, community healing and more.

We are looking for a volunteer to lead art projects with the men, women and children who live in our largest emergency shelter program in West Berkeley -- Ursula Sherman Village.

Activities can be anything - drawing, painting, collage, sculpture, or other creative art activities of your choosing. A volunteer who can bring the art supplies is preferred!

Be part of social change through creative expression and social connection for people going through very challenging times -- thank you for your support!
