Description
The Chicago Help Initiative hosts a large hot meal every Wednesday at the Catholic Charities building. Before the meal we hold a variety of peer groups. Our knitting club has one teacher and around 15 students. The teacher needs a helper.
The people in the group know how to knit, but need help keeping on track with their projects and correcting mistakes. The knitters are mostly people experiencing homelessness, senior citizens, and people who might be mentally ill. So you would need to be patient, pretty good at knitting, and have a good sense of humor and a kind disposition. You would be welcome to come every Wednesday, but also could come on occasional Wednesdays.
