    Description

    Adult English Language (ESL) Tutor

Northfield Adult Basic Education (ABE) is looking for caring, dedicated volunteer tutors to support adult English language learners.

We offer free English classes for adults age 17 and older in a safe and welcoming environment. Our students come from a wide range of backgrounds and skill levels, and they bring with them a strong desire to learn and grow.

Volunteers work alongside experienced teachers, either one-on-one or in small groups, to help students build their English skills. No teaching experience is required-just genuine openness, care for others, and an appreciation for diverse cultures.

We currently have openings in Northfield and in Farmington, on Tuesday or Thursday evenings from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. The Minnesota Department of Education requires all ABE volunteers to complete a free, virtual 4-hour training provided by Literacy Minnesota.

Come make a difference - one conversation at a time!

Email abe@northfieldschools.org or call (507)664-3764 for more information.
