    Description

    Animal Care Officer (Volunteer)

We need dedicated volunteers to help maintain a sanitary environment inside our cat adoption center. This includes cleaning cat spaces in a cat condo habitat, feeding/replenishing food & water, changing cat litter. Experience with cats in necessary.

Volunteers will sometimes interact with potential adopters.

Volunteers for this position should be able to work independently, be self-motivated, possess self-initiative, be consistent, on time, and act professionally in a laid-back environment. Experience with cats is important. Volunteering in teams of two is permitted. There is cleaning involved and we all do it, even the Executive Director. This is the **most important** function of our daily operations, and vital for the health and well-being of our adoptable cats and kittens. Volunteers who are reliable and can make a commitment to attend the same day and shift every week for at least 6 months will receive a strong letter of recommendation for their future endeavors.

If you are looking to be a leader amongst our all-volunteer nonprofit organization, and aren't afraid to do get your hands a little dirty, please reach out to us with a short note, and please don't forget to include a contact number. :-)

Volunteers should be committed to the aforementioned shifts for at least 6 months. We have morning and evening shifts available.

    2 shifts available:

    • This volunteer opportunity is for Saturday and Sunday morning every week: 09:00 to 10:15 EST
